ZSK Newsletter fills this gap by adding a fully integrated newsletter solution to Moodle.

Create and send professional mass emails directly from Moodle—no external systems or duplicate user management required. Flexible inclusion and exclusion filters let you precisely determine which users receive your message. Reusable footers ensure a consistent look and feel, while individual unsubscribe links facilitate a privacy-compliant opt-out process.

For larger installations, emails are sent asynchronously via the Moodle cron job, ensuring reliable processing even with extensive distribution lists. Test emails and a recipient preview provide added confidence before sending.

An optional automated weekly digest keeps users informed about new courses, forums, and discussion posts, ensuring they stay up to date with platform content without administrators having to compile the information manually.
